CNYuck

Hihi all!

Wow. What a terrible week I've had! First off, as I earlier mentioned, I went away to Penang for Chinese New Year, and it unfortunately turned out to be one of the most boring and miserable CNYs I've had in a while. First off, I fell sick. Sick. Yes. I think it started out as an allergy to my grandparents' bedsheets (i.e. the sheets in the SPARE bed, not "their" bedsheets per se)... and so it was a sneezy, nose- and eye-running time had by yours truly. Somehow the allergy invited a headache along for the ride, and next thing I know, it was a fever with a cold and ultimately wound up being the flue. Flu. Sorry. Flue is something related to a chimney. Anyway.

As if that wasn't bad enough, my parents were having a tiff (sigh), which made life very frustrating and downright irritating. So after a while, despite my having a pounding head and blocked nose (still do, right now! Sigh), I got into the car and drove off to visit my friends Kev and Irinna, who have this most adorable baby Dylan (I'll put pics up later, when I can be bothered). I think I shouldn't have cuddled Dylan so much, not while my health wasn't good. But then later on Kev and Irinna (or Kevrinna for short) headed up to my grandparents' place to visit my mom, and SHE too had caught my cold, and yet SHE cuddled the baby, so I guess babys (sic) are more resilient and sturdy healthwise than we might think. (Waits for Kevrinna's phone call of utmost ire).

Anyway, that's about all for now. All sniffly. Perth on Thursday! Whoohoo! Safe journey please, I pray. Amen. Bye.
